The Zoo
Belgrade Zoo, also known as the “Garden of Good Hope”, is one of the oldest zoos in southeastern Europe.
It was founded on July 12, 1936 and is located in the Kalemegdan Park in the center of Belgrade. The zoo covers 7 hectares and is home to 210 species of animals, with about 800 individuals, making it the largest zoo in Serbia. It is visited by around 400,000 people every year, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in Belgrade.
